30/10/2022 0 Comments Winter WorksAs ever things go wrong. Early September we had a few days in the Lake District followed by a weekend in Liverpool visiting Linda's family. And shortly after we got home both developed Covid which we'd avoided for 2½ years! So I lay on the sofa watching the brilliant painting the boat weather outside. Then of course after days of inactivity my dodgy knee seized up. So the cabin sides remain unpainted, and will now until Easter I guess. Still I'm fitter now and been doing some work inside. A couple of years ago I prized up all the floor boards from gearbox to sterntube (that's a lot on a front-engined boat) so I could replace the propshaft bearings. Then put in new boards, loose-laid for future convenience. But astern of the sterntube was one remaining board I didn't replace. Which broke last week.
